About Miki Lee

Miki Lee is a dynamic, passionate woman whose creativity, playfulness, and love of beauty shape the way she moves through the world.

She believes deeply that “We are the art”—that how we dress, speak, move, create, and share with others can all become expressions of who we are. That philosophy shows up everywhere in Miki’s life, from the spaces she beautifies to the way she encourages others to reconnect with joy, aliveness, and authentic self-expression.

A lover of movement for more than four decades, Miki discovered dance in her twenties. She quickly realized that highly structured choreography often pulled her away from her own body and natural rhythm. When Ecstatic Dance entered her life, something shifted. The freedom to move without prescribed steps allowed her to feel more embodied, expressive, and alive.

Today, Miki brings that same sense of freedom and permission into the spaces she helps create. She encourages participants to listen inward, follow the movement that feels true in the moment, and let go of the idea that dance has to look a certain way.

Play is also an important part of Miki’s world. She speaks lovingly of the “little girls within” who still want to dress up, adorn, explore, create, and delight in life. Rather than leaving those parts behind, she welcomes them as a source of vitality and creative expression.

Through movement, beauty, and embodied play, Miki invites others to remember that life itself can be an art form—and that sometimes the most liberating thing we can do is simply give ourselves permission to move.
